TATER TOURS TO COLORADO AND UTAH
SEPTEMBER 17TH – 28TH, 2011

      Sept. 17th (Sat.) : FLY DAY ONLY TO Denver, Colorado!
Hotel accommodations at the LaQuinta Inns near the Denver Airport. (303) 371-0888 Continental Breakfast included and free Shuttle Service from the airport. A Get-acquainted meeting will be held that evening!
Around 7:30 p.m.)

Sept. 18th (Sun.) : Start our journey with a short drive to Golden, Colorado for year round event.
This walk goes through the main street of Golden “Where the West Lives” and several museums.
Enjoy bike trails and walks through the Colorado School of  Mines Campus. In the afternoon, take a short drive to visit Buffalo Bill’s Museum and Grave. Continue to Dillon, Colorado for hotel accommodations for 2 nights
at the Comfort Suites (970) 513-0300 Continental Breakfast included.

Sept. 19th (Mon.): Drive to Breckenridge for the year round event. This event walks on paved/dirt
 streets and pathways through town and along the Blue River passing several Museums and the Rotary Snowplow Train Park. In the afternoon, participate in the Vail walk which passes through Vail Village, the Nature Center and the
Berry Ford Gardens. Return to hotel.

Sept. 20th (Tues.) : Drive to Moab, Utah for some great sightseeing in Arches National Park!
(you can go to www.nps.gov/arch for information) We will first stop at the Visitor Center and then we may start our adventure through a portion of the Park. Drive to the small town of Moab for hotel accommodations for 2 nights
at the Comfort Suites (435) 259-5252 Continental Breakfast included.

Sept. 21st (Wed.): Drive back into Arches National Park for volksmarch and more great sightseeing!
Spend the whole day in this beautiful Park! Return to our hotel.

Sept. 22nd (Thurs.): Start our journey to Mesa Verde National Park in Colorado. Visit the Far View Visitor Center
and then have a Step-On Guide for a 3 hour narration in another beautiful Park with several stops.
We will also be visiting the Cliff Palace. (you can go to www.nps.gov/meve for information)
Hotel accommodations inside the Park at the Far View Lodge for 2 nights. (602) 331-5210 Breakfast NOT
included.

Sept. 23rd (Fri.): Drive to Durango for our fantastic one way Durango/Silverton train ride  through the spectacular breathtaking canyons in the remote wilderness of the two-million acre San Juan National Forest for an
unforgettable year-round adventure! This is a 3 ½ hour train ride! Return to Mesa Verde for some great sightseeing with stops on walking trails for more adventure!

Sept. 24th (Sat.): Drive to Pueblo, Colorado for year round event. Trail is along city streets and  sidewalks of
historic Pueblo. Hotel accommodations at the Hampton Inn (719) 543-6500 Continental Breakfast included.

Sept. 25th (Sun.): Drive to Colorado Springs, Colorado for Garden of The Gods year round event. This is another great walk that passes by many colorful rock formations. (Fantastic!) After participating in this walk,
we will visit Old Colorado City with many great restaurants and shops. Drive to our hotel located in North Colorado Springs for 2 nights at the Drury Inn & Suites. (719) 598-2500 Continental Breakfast included
plus Hot Food and Cold Beverages in the evening!

Sept. 26th (Mon.): Participate in the USAF Academy walk that passes by the Planetarium, Visitor Center,
Field House and Chapel. In the afternoon we will tour the US Olympics Complex. We will do the tour of the
complex. The tour includes a 12-minute film and 45-minute walking tour of the complex. Nearly 70% of the tour is out-of-doors. During the tour, visitors will have the opportunity to view athlete training facilities including
Sport Center Gymnasiums, weightlifting and wrestling facilities, the USA Shooting Center, Coaching & Sport Science, the Aquatics Center, and Sport Medicine. Life-size figures with narrative panels adorn the Irwin Belk Olympic Pathway and provide information about Olympic and Pan American Sports.
Return to our hotel.

Sept. 27th (Tues.): Drive to Denver for the Capital Walk. This walk takes you through the beautiful  and historic downtown, past the Capital Building, city gardens, Coors Field and along the Cherry Creek and Platte River Bike Trails. Return to the same hotel near the Denver Airport that we stayed at for the beginning of this great Western Tour! LaQuinta Inns (303) 371-0888 Continental Breakfast included.


Sept 28th (Wed.): FLY DAY ONLY BACK TO HOME DESTINATIONS!

$50.00 will reserve your seat on this great trip to the WESTERN USA!!
