TATER TOURS TO FLORIDA/ALABAMA &
MORE - FEBRUARY 15TH – 27TH
Feb. 15th: (Tues.) FLY DAY ONLY TO NEW ORLEANS, LOUISIANA!!!
Hotel accommodations at the Country Inn & Suites, Kenner,
Louisiana for two
nights. (Suburb of New Orleans) (504) 305-1501 Continental
Breakfast included
and free Shuttle Service from the airport. A Get-acquainted
meeting will be held that
evening! (Around 7:30 p.m.)
Feb. 16th: (Wed.) Drive into New Orleans for year round event.
This walk goes through the French
Quarter and many other interesting sights. The afternoon will be
spent touring
Mardi Gras World. (See the colors, the lights, the music. The
Blaine Kern Studios
are the leading makers of floats, sculptures, and props) Return
to hotel.
Feb. 17th: (Thur.) Drive to Ocean Springs, Mississippi for the
year round event. This event
winds through quiet neighborhoods, along the beach, through
woods and nature
trails of the Gulf Islands National Seashore Park. Continue in
the afternoon to
Mobile, Alabama for another year round event. This walk starts
at the Mobile
Visitor Center (Fort Conde) and strolls the streets of Mobile.
(The city that originated
Mardi Gras in America back in 1869) Drive to Orange Beach,
Alabama for our
Hotel for 5 glorious nights! The Start/Finish for the Alabama
Walking Weekend,
Hilton Garden Inn, (251) 974-1600 Breakfast not included but
most rooms have
Microwaves and fridges. The next four days will be shared doing
the Florida
and Alabama walks.
Feb. 18th – 21st: (Fri. Sat. Sun. Mon.) Walking Extravaganza in
Florida & Alabama
Participate in a possible 14 events (7 walks, 4 swims, 3 bikes)

and the Meet and Greet are NOT in the price of the trip.) On
Sunday and
Monday, we will be participating in some of the walks in Perdido
Key,
FL. (Go to ava.org and click on
Pensacola Club in Florida and click on events)
Feb. 22nd: (Tues.) Drive to Montgomery, Alabama for Capitol
Walk. This event walks along the
Alabama River and then along the streets with many scenic
sights, including the
State Capital, Freedom Memorial, and First White House of the
Confederacy. Drive
to Atlanta, Georgia for 2 night accommodations at the Country
Inn & Suites
(404) 658-1961 Continental Breakfast included.
Feb 23rd: (Wed.) Start the Atlanta Capital Walk from our hotel.
The route passes the Capital,
several sport venues, and the Centennial Olympic Park, to name a
few. This walk
will take all day long for there is so much to see and visit!
Return to our hotel.
Feb 24th: (Thurs.) Participate in the Stone Mountain Walk. The
walk begins in the small 19th century
village, enters the Park, and proceeds around the Mountain. Continue our
drive
to Greenville, South Carolina for walk event. This walk goes
through Falls Park
with waterfalls along the Reedy River and through the city
streets.

Feb 25th: (Fri.) Drive to Raleigh, North Carolina for Capital
Walk. The route passes through
Historic Oakwood neighborhood and into the State Capital and
Legislative
Buildings, past a couple of Museums and into City Market. Hotel
accommodations
at the Hampton Inn (919) 872-7111 Continental Breakfast
included.
Feb 26th: (Sat.) Drive to Richmond, Virginia for Capital Walk.
The route passes the State Capital
and the Governor’s Mansion. Other sights include Brown’s Island,
Virginia War
Memorial and the Canal. Continue our journey back to Maryland.

Accommodations can be made at Holiday Inn Express, near BWI
Airport and
Gunther Charters. (Not included in total price.) Please contact

Feb. 27th: (Sun.) FLY DAY ONLY BACK TO HOME DESTINATIONS!
$50.00 will reserve your seat on this great trip to the WARMER
WEATHER!! (Non-refundable)
