Calvin Begay, Navajo, was born in 1965 and resides in Tohatchi, Gallup, New Mexico. Calvin works in both silver and gold. He creates traditional Navajo stamp work jewelry and specializes in micro inlay jewelry. Calvin is a recognized, top-winning Navajo jeweler that has been praised for his designs and workmanship.

This piece is designed and made by Calvin Begay (not all Calvin Begay pieces are actually made by the artist himself although if they have his name, they are designed by him). I purchased this from a reputable dealer in Gallup, NM who deals directly with Calvin.

This exquisite hand-made one of a kind pendant is backed in Sterling Silver. (necklace not included) Measures 1.5 inches across and 1.5 inches long including the bail. This is heavy sterling and is reversible. The front depicts Monument Valley and a Pueblo scene with a comet and the moon in opal. There is also opal detail on the rock formation.

The back depicts a beautiful pueblo scene in Sterling Silver.

The bail is also inlaid to coordinate with the pendant. The piece is hallmarked Calvin Begay. Highly collectible one of a kind pendant.
