Saguaro Sun Striders Walking and Volkssport Club

Walking with the Striders is Fun!

February 25, 2012 event at Pinnacle Peak

 Start 8-11 a.m. and finish by 2 p.m.

 Start at Pinnacle Peak Patio, Scottsdale, AZ

 Driving Directions:   10426 E. Jomax Rd, Scottsdale, AZ.  From AZ-Loop 101, exit at Exit 36. Go north on Pima Road; right on Happy Valley Road; left on Alma School Parkway, left on Pinnacle Peak Parkway—look "WALK EVENT" signs ahead on the right.

 No dogs allowed. Restrooms/water near start point; there are no facilities on 3.5-mile portion of trail through Pinnacle Peak Park.

The 10k route goes to Pinnacle Peak Park and follows the moderately strenuous out and back hiking trail. The remainder of the route is on sidewalks or road shoulder on a relatively flat surface.  The 5k route does not include the hiking within Pinnacle Peak Park.
